I wanted to send a note to all our parents, athletes and coaches regarding todays swim meet.  We are still scheduled to swim today at Towne Lake Hills. 

The address for the swim club is at:

1007 Towne Lake Hills E, Woodstock, GA

Arrival time is 5pm - warm ups at 5:30pm

We are actively monitoring the weather.  We have been in full communication with Tidal Waves Coaches, Coordinators and our ASA Official all week and have action plans in place depending on the weather.  

Here is where we stand as of 8:00am this morning:

Our goal is to swim the meet in full - Towne Lake has 59 swimmers, we are brining 125.

While our goal is to swim, Our priority is the safety of our swimmers, parents, coaches, and officials first.

Our heat sheets have been paired down and combined to reduce the length of the meet. 

River Green will be brining additional 10x10 and 10x20 tents to the meet, we ask parents who have tents available to bring as well and we can shelter from rain together. Towne Lake does have covered pavilions and areas in the event of lighting in the area. 

We will be communicating on the SwimTopia app with push notifications, our Instagram Page and our website.  In the event that the meet is cancelled due to lighting, we are working on scheduling a virtual meet for Monday (RG will swim at our club) or we may opt to use times from last weeks HOTL meet.  I will communicate with parents on our plans. IF we go virtual, volunteers will be needed still and this will go towards your volunteer points.

Again, please do NOT assume the meet is cancelled based on the weather here in our neighborhood.  For those who live towards the back part of the neighborhood, there are many times we don't see a drop of rain, yet when we get to the front, it looks like a monsoon went through.  We will communicate in advance if the meet is cancelled due to lighting.  Please plan on arriving at the pool and ready to swim...even in the rain.
