Hi Parents, 

We had a great first week of practice and are looking forward to another great week this week!

Two key pieces of information for this week: 

1. Please register your swimmers for the meets via our website. Instructions can be found here: https://rivergreenrays.swimtopia.com/register-for-a-meet

*If you need help, please ask a committee member at practice this week. We are happy to help you. 

2. Please sign-up for your volunteer job shifts on our website. Instructions on how to do so are found with the "register for a meet" instructions (link shared above). For more details about volunteer requirements, please visit this page: https://rivergreenrays.swimtopia.com/register-for-a-meet

The volunteer points requirement for this season is 8 points per family. This can be earned by working 4 shifts (each shift is worth 2 points). 

As you sign up, if you could keep the following in mind: 

1. Parents of swimmers ages 10 and under will need to sign up for bullpen shifts in their child/children's bullpen. Please sign up for those shifts according to this list: 

6 and under girls--1 shift each

6 and under boys--1 shift each

7-8 girls--1 shift each

7-8 boys--2 shifts each

9-10 girls--2 shifts each

9-10 boys--1 shift each

This means that if you have a 6 and under girl, you need to sign up for 1 bullpen shift for the entire season. There are enough parents to cover the bullpen if everyone does 1 shift. 

The 7-8 boys and 9-10 girls groups do not have a lot of swimmers, so parents will need to sign up for 2 shifts each for those age groups to cover all the shifts. 

If you have more than one swimmer in these age groups, sign up for the amount of shifts listed for each. For example, if you have a 6 and under boy, sign up for one shift for that bullpen. In addition, if you have a 9-10 girl, sign up for 2 bullpen shifts for that bullpen. That will get you to 6 points. You can sign up for any other job to complete your final two points. 

2. Please do not sign up for more than 8 points total. There will likely be a few extra jobs after everyone signs up for 8 points--we will ask for help once everyone has their 8 points.  

If you are new and this is confusing, I am happy to help answer your questions and get you signed up on your Swimtopia app. at practice this week. Please download the app or be able to login to the website on your phone so that we can help you with the meet registration process.
