Wow, I cannot believe we are here already!  First day of River Green Rays Swim Practice! I wanted to update everyone on a couple of quick pieces.

First...I'd like to welcome two new Assistant Coaches to our River Green Rays team.

Mason Reed - some of you met Mason at our 2nd Parent meeting. Mason joins us as a fulltime Assistant coach helping our boys this season. Mason comes to us with a ton of experience as a summer coach with his neighborhood team as well as a competitive swimmer now in college and with Stingrays.

Saoirse Stewart - I am really excited to make this announcement!  Saoirse has been a Ray since she could start swimming and her family is a big part of the RAYS family!  She now will take on a role as a key member of our coaching staff and helping lead our girl swimmers.  She has been swimming year round with the Stingrays.

Next...for those parents who been patiently waiting on Mini-Rays information.  After some back-and-forth with ASA, I finally settled on going through ASA's "non-competitive" form.  While this will include a smaller fee paid to ASA, our coaches will still be able to help work with swimmers who are not quite ready to be on our competitive team.  Registration is now OPEN for those swimmers who are not ready for competitive swimming.

Our team t-shirts have now been ordered along with swim caps.  These will be here before our first meet.  If you are looking for additional team wearables, please visit our friends at Reddiset.

Last, please remember to see either Vanessa, Ben, Erin, Andy, Tanner, Amelia or myself with your $200 volunteer check for the season.  We will be collecting those this week and will be sending out point requirements by next week.  Again, we will not cash these checks, just holding them till end of the season.
